It is a noble Italic, austere, harsh and strong grape’s variety, which has been confined for decades onto the bare and steep slopes of the Piceno Apennines.

Kiara shows original characteristics of Pecorino grapes: good alcohol with sage and chamomile’s scent and pronounced acidity that allows the wine to evolve over the years.

Pecorino is rare, precious and able to exhale a strong personality recalling ethereal and persistent sensations, year after year.

San Giovanni farm was founded in 1990 from a long fat mily tradition. It is located on the charming hills of the Piceno, an area of the Marche Region. The farm extends along 30 hectares of vineyards, which are situated on an average altitude of 320 meters.

The vineyards are exclusively organic and representative of typical local varieties, such as Passerina, Pecorino, Trebbiano, Montepulciano and Sangiovese. The clay soils are ideal for growing grapes and the Adriatic microclimate provides summers refreshed by the sea breeze and winters mitigated by the warmth of the sun. The San Giovanni farm continually improves the quality of their wines through the scrupulous care of the vineyards and the use of cultivation methods, in a close link with the territory and tradition.

Besides the organic cultivation, the San Giovanni is recognized as Vegan farm. The growing sensitivity of the consumers towards a healthy diet and environmental sustainability, has led the San Giovanni farm to stop using animal by-products normally used in winemaking. The farm uses only plant originated products.
