Compote of strawberries with balsamic condiment

INGREDIENTS:

  • 200g of brown sugar
  • 250g of clean strawberries cut into chunks
  • 50ml of Balsamic vinegar
  • A sprig of thyme
  • Two leaves of mint

PREPARATION:

Wash and cut the strawberries into pieces. In a saucepan put the brown sugar with the Balsamic vinegar and let mix for a few minutes.

When the sugar is completely melted, add the strawberries, the sprig of thyme and the two mint leaves. Simmer the compote over low heat for 30 minutes.

Combine the strawberry compote with a selection of cheeses to enhance its taste.
